A Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, is trying to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cook-a-thon.

1) Her name is Lata Tondon, from India, and born in April 1980
2) She’s a mother of one - a cute baby boy
3) She’s the first woman to set the Guinness World Record for marathon cooking
4) She loves cooking so much she had to tattoo cutleries on her hand
5) She broke the coveted Guinness World Record in 2019, cooking for 87 hours and 45 minutes, 20 hours more than the previous record.

7) Before embarking on the challenge, Lata prepared herself for one full year.
8) Before Lata, Rickey Lumpkin was the previous title holder for the longest cooking marathon. He’s from Los Angeles, he cooked for a straight 68 hours, 30 minutes and one second in 2018
9) The food Lata cooked was served to over 20,000 visitors, including children from orphanages, blind schools and aged people.
